So I don't know what was more shocking today, hearing that Darren is engaged, or seeing that guy on Invasion cut his own arm off with a chain saw. Also, Rosie has redesigned her site and updated her blog. Finally, I almost shot milk out my nose when I saw this.

Fakesgiving was awesome. It was great to see everyone
again. As usual, we agreed with Megan that there's no excuse for us southerners
not to hang out more. Also Beth is at her parents' house in Pennsylvania for
Thanksgiving, and I miss her. So for now, it's back to work as usual.

Tomorrow, Beth and I are driving to Troy for a get together with the old crew which we have every year called Fakesgiving. We basically make a gigantic Thanksgiving diner for everyone who wants to come the weekend before Thanksgiving proper. It should be great fun.

Tonight, Beth and I went to see Jarhead. It was an excellent movie about war and how it affects those who fight. They did an especially good job of keeping it apolitical - a difficult task in today's world. There was also an excellent Boston Legal on tonight in which Denny Crane (played by William Shatner) kneecapped one of his clients because he was a rapist and murderer. That show is so great because it never ceases to surprise.

We rented Dune last night, and man that was a weird movie. I think it was good, but it was strange. And it featured both Sting and Captain Picard with a skullet. I think it would have been perfect for Ground Zero's Cult Movie Night.

The Ultimate Fighter 2 Finale is over, and there were
some really good fights. KenFlo took out Muay Thai champion Kit Cope (who you
may have seen on MTV's "True Life: I'm a Muay Thai Fighter") which surprised
me. Next, Joe Stevenson (no relation) beat Luke Cummo in a fight which I thought
would be much shorter. Rashad and Brad fought a war in which Rashad's experience
ended up winning out. In the final Diego Sanchez beat Nick Diaz in what was
for both of them their toughest fight ever. Diaz still believes that Diego got
farther than he deserved and is paid more than he's worth thanks to the tv show.

So, on the Camber front, they have gotten the updated contract approved, and are now just waiting for the money. They will get the money as soon as President Bush signs the Defense Budget. So right now, I guess I'm just waiting for the Prez.

Tonight's Ultimate Fighter 2 was good, but the final on saturday will be awesome. Beyond even the fighters from the show, the fight between last season's middleweight winner, Diego Sanchez and Nick Diaz will be great. Diaz is simply amazing, and Diego has yet to fight anyone as good as Diaz, so it should be a great fight.
